Seeing you is both pleasure and torture.

You are so beautiful that you are almost an eye-sore. I am blinded by your perfection. Your so-called flaws - a little uneven feature (which is hardly noticeable) and a childishness others perceive (actually childlikeness and not really immaturity), render you human and thus all the more attractive. The term "sexily damaged" comes to mind.

You leave me in a mixture of awe and despair. When the swoon has passed, I am made painfully aware of how impossible this is and of how far away you are from me. Borrowing from "Snow Country," these feelings of mine amount to nothing but a "wasted effort." There is a sense of sadness and beauty in all of this.

You and me. What a nice but disconcerting thought. It's a fantasy and a nightmare.
