I consider myself a friendly person. I make friends quite easily. Many people say that they feel comfortable with me and they enjoy my company. I am open to those of different personality, opinion, religion, and culture from mine.

But sometimes, I meet people who are hard to befriend. They do not respond to any attempts of establishing rapport. They don't show the slightest interest no matter how hard I try, no matter how much I put myself out there.

And I don't like forcing things. I want my relationships to be natural, organic, two-sided, and comfortable. So whenever I come across a "difficult" person, I simply let them be. I'll lay off as soon as soon as I have already done my part and the person rejects or ignores it. I mean, hey, it's their loss! Still, there's this persistent little nagging inside of me. I keep wondering what could have been.
